Nice to meet you! Thank you for making it this far.

I’m writing this to introduce Yokunbó (Yo-koohn-boh). Yokunbo is a Yoruba expression - meaning one who travels far and brings value home. Simply put, we’re a new way for remote engineers around the world to get discovered by those who need talent.

My core belief is that no matter how human we are, software is building a world that we’ll like for the better. Without a doubt, every major company of the future will need software for it’s customers, it’s operations, and even the bits we can’t see that make it tick.

For a long time, most of that software development has been left to the U.S, and amazing companies have revolutionized the world in a matter of decades. We’re shining a light on the talent that has gone unseen for all that time. Software Development as an industry has to be more open to those who don’t have access to the Silicon Valleys of the world.

We’re here to bring software as far as it can possible go, by making it easier for founders to discover talented engineers, and simplifying the process for engineers to find opportunities for great work, worldwide.

Our first hub is in Nigeria, where i’ve witnessed some of the brightest technical minds of our generation go without opportunity for far too long.

I’m excited to embark on this journey, and excited to share our journey with the world.
